Alive!

Several months ago, an eerie photograph sparked all kinds of bizarre conspiracy theories.

It showed someone who looked a lot like Apple cofounder Steve Jobs, who died in 2011, aged 56, of a rare cancer of the pancreas. But this photograph was taken in the second half of 2019. In Egypt. In some random café. And shared on Facebook by one Ahmed Basyouney who wasn’t available for comment.

The guy is even barefoot, as Jobs often was.

One Twitter user captioned a photo of the real billionaire as “Steve Jobs,” and marked the photo of the barefoot look-alike, “Steve No Job.”

Of course, this brought the best of the social media world to the fore.

Said one Twitter user, Jonesderserder:

Apple should hire this guy, bring him to USA and start a campaign that the Jobs is back from the dead: ‘iMalive.’ And he could fix the keyboards in Macbooks.”

And another, James Agar:

He could have had enough of the 9–5 and wanted to travel abroad, but because everyone knows who he is and how famous he is, he would get no privacy, so what if he worked for an Intel Agency and they faked his death so he could get away from it all?”

And Inah Padua:

MJ, Elvis, John Lennon, Tupac … all of them are alive! As a matter of fact, they are creating a band called ‘6 feet under,’ and Steve Jobs is their manager.”

Well, there is one who really is alive, even though he died. We celebrate that momentous event and its consequences today, Easter Sunday.

For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received,
that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,
and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.
1 Corinthians 15:3–4

iMalive, indeed!

About the Jobs photo, one eagle-eyed Reddit user exclaimed:

OMG Steve Jobs doesn’t wear an Apple Watch!”

Yup, just check his wrist. That ain’t no Apple product.

Interestingly enough, another skeptic from 2,000 years, Thomas, ago said the same thing about Jesus’ wrists!

“Unless I see in His hands the imprint of the nails,
and put my finger into the place of the nails,
and put my hand into His side, I will not believe.”
John 20:25

When Jesus appeared to his disciples after the resurrection …

He said to Thomas,
“Reach here with your finger, and see My hands;
and reach here your hand and put it into My side;
and do not be unbelieving, but believing.”
Thomas answered and said to Him,
“My Lord and my God!”
John 20:28

He lives!

One social media person, Mmm, wanted to know this about the revived Jobs:

Can he fix my broken phone???”

I don’t know about that and Jobs, but I know this about Jesus Christ. He can fix your life!

Jesus said … “I am the resurrection and the life;
he who believes in Me will live even if he dies,
and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die.
Do you believe this?”
John 11:25

Eternal life for all who believe in Jesus Christ as their only God and Savior, who paid the price for their sins and rose on the third day!

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again
to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.
1 Peter 1:3

iMalive!

He lives!
